Improving Facilities, Strengthening Services in Wek III Village, Batang Toru Subdistrict

Mar 12, 2026

The availability of adequate sanitation facilities and public service infrastructure is essential for village communities. In Wek III Village, Batang Toru Subdistrict, the poor condition of the public bathing, washing, and toilet facilities (MCK), along with limited space at the village office, had become a concern as they could affect public health and the quality of services provided to residents. In response to these needs, Agincourt Resources supported improvements to village facilities through the renovation of the public MCK and the construction of a second-floor space at the Wek III Village Office, which were officially handed over on 12th March 2026.

The renovation of the MCK is expected to promote better environmental hygiene while helping to prevent sanitation-related diseases such as diarrhoea, cholera, and other infections.

In addition, the construction of the second-floor space at the Wek III Village Office aims to maximise the function of the building, which had previously remained incomplete due to budget limitations. The additional space is expected to support village administrative activities and enhance the quality of public services for the community.

The Government of Wek III Village expressed its appreciation to Agincourt Resources for the support. The improvements to sanitation facilities and the village office infrastructure are considered to strengthen basic social infrastructure while also improving the comfort and well-being of residents in their daily activities.
