Through Safety Riding EducationRoad safety has become an important concern, particularly for young people who are increasingly active in using motorcycles in their daily lives. The high risk of traffic accidents highlights the need for education that is not only theoretical but also practical, so that awareness and riding skills can be developed from an early stage.

As a form of commitment to road safety, Agincourt Resources, in collaboration with Astra Motor, organised a “Safety Riding Simulator Training” on Thursday, 9th April 2026 at Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri (SMKN) 2 Padangsidimpuan. The activity involved approximately 50 participants, consisting of the school principal, teachers, and students.
The Safety Riding Instructor from Astra Honda Motor, Noval Yunaidi, accompanied the activity. Meanwhile, the Marketing Communication Sub Department Head of Astra Motor, Michael Gerald, stated that this facility is expected to be utilised optimally by the community through schools in order to help reduce traffic accident rates.
The Principal of SMKN 2 Padangsidimpuan expressed appreciation and gratitude to Agincourt Resources and Astra Motor for the trust given to the school as the recipient of the safety riding programme. The school is committed to maintaining and utilising the facility in a sustainable manner, not only for students of SMKN 2 Padangsidimpuan, but also for other schools in Padangsidimpuan and South Tapanuli Regency, thereby increasing awareness of the importance of road safety.

The training also provided support in the form of safety riding facilities and infrastructure. The safety riding facility, which was handed over on 17 December 2025, is now utilised as an interactive learning medium, enabling participants to directly experience safe and controlled riding simulations. This facility is one of the limited ones available in Indonesia, and its presence in Padangsidimpuan City, North Sumatra, is expected to provide broader benefits, not only for SMKN 2 Padangsidimpuan, but also for other schools through educational activities.
