Protecting the environment can begin with simple actions that create long-term impact. In line with this commitment, Agincourt Resources handed over productive fruit tree seedlings to the North Tapanuli Housing, Settlement Areas and Environment Agency on 22 July 2026 in Tarutung.
The assistance formed part of the commemoration of Environment Day and was aimed at supporting environmental conservation while strengthening disaster mitigation and prevention efforts across North Tapanuli. The fruit tree seedlings will be planted along several river catchment areas and other strategic locations that require greening and rehabilitation.
Representing Agincourt Resources at the event was Siti Khodijah, Superintendent Exploration Operations, together with her team. Meanwhile, the North Tapanuli Housing, Settlement Areas and Environment Agency was represented by Cardo Simanjuntak, Head of the Environmental Division, along with agency staff members.
The programme aligns with the North Tapanuli Regency Government’s plan to conduct a One Million Trees Planting Movement with local communities in August 2026. The initiative will also form part of the celebrations marking the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia’s Independence.
Representatives of the North Tapanuli Housing, Settlement Areas and Environment Agency expressed their appreciation for the support provided by Agincourt Resources. The productive fruit tree seedlings are expected to deliver wide-ranging benefits, both for local communities and for environmental conservation efforts.
“We would like to express our gratitude for the donation of productive fruit tree seedlings, which will be planted in river catchment areas and other strategic locations. We hope these trees will provide lasting benefits to the people of North Tapanuli while contributing to sustainable environmental preservation,” said the agency representative.
