In an effort to create a comfortable place for the implementation of various teaching and learning activities, both intracurricular and extracurricular, at SMAN 1 Batangtoru, PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) provided support in the form of an open multipurpose hall with a size of 8×20 m.
On Wednesday, November 9, 2022, to coincide with the 39th Anniversary of SMAN 1 Batangtoru, the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the multipurpose hall of SMAN 1 Batangtoru was held. The event was attended by Deputy General Manager Operations of PTAR Wira Dharma Putra, Community Relations Manager of PTAR Masdar Muda, Principal of SMAN 1 Batangtoru Drs. Muhammad Zuhdi Pulungan, SH, M.Pd, Branch Head of Sidimpuan Education Office Marwan Fauzi, S.Sos, Batangtoru Sub-District Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimcam), School Committee, and students and school teachers of SMAN 1 Batangtoru.
In his remarks, Wira Dharma Putra hopes that the construction of this multipurpose hall, which is the PTAR Community Development and Empowerment (PPM) program, can contribute to improving the quality of public education in South Tapanuli Regency, especially in 15 Direct Affected Villages. And he also hopes that SMA 1 Batangtoru can create a generation that excels, has good character, and cares about the surrounding environment.
Previously, PTAR had provided several supports such as building classrooms, sports fields, computers, tables, chairs, and focused learning programs as well as model schools.
