PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) through the Community Department held a workshop on Synchronization and Integration of the Community Development and Empowerment Program (PPM) with the South Tapanuli Regency Government, as well as socialization to the community. This activity is carried out to further improve the quality of PPM PTAR programs in the future.
PTAR General Manager Operations Rahmat Lubis emphasized in his remarks that good cooperation and coordination with the government is the key to producing better program and positive impacts, and providing welfare to the community, especially surrounding the Martabe Gold Mine.
The workshop activities were held on January 26, 2023 at the Mega Permata Hotel, Padangsidimpuan and were attended by 56 representatives from 21 Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) and related agencies of the South Tapanuli Regency Government, including agency heads and heads of respective departments. This workshop was officially opened by Assistant I of the South Tapanuli Regency Government, Hamdan Zein Harahap.
The workshop began with a presentation of the respective programs by PTAR and the regency government, represented by the Head of the Regional Planning, Research and Development Agency (Bappeda) Chairul Rizal Lubis. Then, it was followed by a discussion and questions and answer session to discuss all proposals for the program synchronization and collaboration, and ended with a presentation of the results of the workshop.
As a follow-up to the workshop, on January 30 2023, PTAR disseminated the 2023 PTAR PPM Program to the Batangtoru and Muara Batangtoru Sub-District Governments as well as representatives of the village community surrounding the mine. Proposals from the community will be taken into consideration in implementing the PTAR PPM Program this year.
