Agincourt Supports Bhayangkara Hospital New Construction to Improve Healthcare Delivery Quality in South Tapanuli

General Manager Operations PTAR Rahmat Lubis gives a speech at groundbreaking for construction of a radiology room, morgue and Water Treatment Plant at Bhayangkara Hospital of Batangtoru Wednesday 18 May 2022. 

Batangtoru, 19 May 2022 – PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR), operator of the Martabe Gold Mine, supported the construction of additional facilities of Level IV Bhayangkara Hospital in Batangtoru, South Tapanuli. This IDR 690,000,000 investment was for a Radiology Room, Morgue, and Wastewater Treatment Plant. Laying of the groundwork was carried out by PTAR General Manager Operations Rahmat Lubis, South Tapanuli Police Command Chief, AKBP Roman Smaradhana Elhaj, Head of Level IV Bhayangkara Hospital of Batangtoru, Dr Tommy Rivelino, Head of South Tapanuli Public Works Agency, and Chairul Rizal Lubis in Batangtoru, on Wednesday 18 May 2022. 

 

Rahmat Lubis, PTAR General Manager Operations, stated that this assistance in the health sector is design to improve the quality and delivery of healthcare services for the communities in and around Batangtoru, South Tapanuli: 

Support for the improvement of health facilities for the communities around the mine is one of PTAR’s priorities, and certainly the construction of these three facilities is expected to improve the services of Level IV Bhayangkara Hospital of Batangtoru. 

 

According to Rahmat, PTAR is currently collaborating and partnering with various health institutions including Sipirok Regional General Hospital, Batangtoru Community Health Center and Muara Batangtoru Community Health Center. He added: 

We continue to work closely with all lines and of course with the Level IV Bhayangkara Hospital of Batangtoru in order to make it easier for the people in Batangtoru and its surroundings to get better health facilities.

PTAR General Manager Rahmat Lubis, South Tapanuli Police Command Chief Roman Smaradhana Elhaj and Head of Level IV Bhayangkara Hospital of Batangtoru, Dr Tomny Rivelano along with several stakeholders took a picture at the groundbreaking Wednesday 18 May 2022. 

Senior Manager Community Relations Christine Pepah said that this program is a form of PTAR’s Community Empowerment and Development Program in partnership with the South Tapanuli Police Command and is planned to be carried out over a three month period by local contractors. 

This assistance program in the health infrastructure sector is intended to improving the quality and affordability of community hospital services. 

In the future, Christine continued, PTAR and the South Tapanuli Police Command and also a number of related partners will continue to carry out socialization and promotions that the Level IV Bhayangkara Hospital of Batangtoru is a health facility for the general public in Batangtoru and its surroundings for those who need health services, not only for the members of the Indonesian National Police. 

 

South Tapanuli Police Command Chief AKBP Roman Smaradhana Elhaj, Head of Bhayangkara Hospital, dr. Tommy Rivelino, and Head of the South Tapanuli Public Works Agency Chairul Rizal Lubis also delivered speeches at the event, where all parties welcomed this construction and thanked PTAR for the contribution of PTAR in the health sector for the community, especially to Bhayangkara Hospital of Batangtoru which was inaugurated by North Sumatra Police Command Chief Inspector General. Pol. Drs. R.Z Panca Putra S, M.Si on March 28, 2022. 

 

This event was also attended by various stakeholders, including representatives of the South Tapanuli District Government and several related agencies, the Director of Sipirok Regional Hospital, representatives of the Sub-district Leadership Communication Forum and Community Health Center in Batangtoru, Muara Batangtoru, Angkola Barat, Angkola Sangkunur and Marancar Sub-districts.
