This position will be based at the Martabe Gold Mine Site within the Processing (Maintenance) and will report directly to the Senior Engineer – Electrical & Reliability.
The role of the Engineer – Electrical & Reliability is to manage the Reliability Engineering function within plant maintenance and provide technical support to the Maintenance team in accordance with operational requirements. This position will work collaboratively within a team environment, seek continuous improvement opportunities, and provide broader professional support to the Maintenance department. This position will focus on improving the reliability of the crushing, milling, and gold extraction circuits in line with the business plan. Furthermore, it will provide support and training on reliability principles to Condition Monitoring technicians and the Maintenance & Operations teams
Candidates for this position are expected to meet the following qualifications and criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Preferably certified in Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Extensive experience in a similar engineering role within mining, oil & gas, or other heavy industrial operations.
- Strong understanding of international mining and safety standards, including ANZS, BS, IEC, ASTM, and PAS 55.
- Sound knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Proven experience in reliability engineering within mineral processing plants or comparable heavy industries.
- Strong background in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and reliability improvement.
- Good understanding of predictive maintenance methodologies and asset management principles.
- Knowledge of condition monitoring technologies, including: Vibration Analysis, Thermography, Oil Analysis, NDT Techniques
- Ability to analyze equipment wear data and optimize preventive maintenance programs.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Experience facilitating Root Cause Failure Analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Strong reporting, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet-based systems.
- Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge and mentor semi-skilled personnel.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high safety and professional standards.
