GRADUATE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM – SCM (GDP – SCM)

This position will be based at the Martabe Site within the SCM Department, with direct reporting to the Senior Contract Engineer – Contract. 

The Graduate Development Program – SCM supports the Contract function in the preparation, administration, and management of contracts across Martabe operations under the guidance of the Superintendent of Contract Formalities and the Senior Contract Engineer. This position is part of a career development program (Graduate Development Program) designed to provide comprehensive exposure to Contract & Procurement processes through on-the-job learning, mentoring, and cross-functional rotations. PTAR’s ethical standards must be maintained at all times, with a clear focus on the company and employee code of conduct, confidentiality, and corporate values. 

The GDP – SCM is responsible for preparing and managing the activities of PTAR Martabe’s contract function and ensuring that the commercial aspects of all contract activities across all PTAR user departments comply with company standards, policies, and procedures, Indonesian law, and the Martabe Mine Contract of Work. The Graduate Development Program – The SCM is expected to support the Contract team in ensuring that all contractual processes are conducted in accordance with company policies, good governance principles, and PTAR’s ethical values. 

Applicants for this position are required to fulfill the following qualifications and criteria: 

  1. Bachelor Degree in Industrial / Mining / Civil Engineering or equivalent, with GPA minimum 3.25. 
  1. Basic understanding of Procurement Process, Contract Management, or Project Management 
  1. Previous work experience in contract law, project management, or supply chain. 
  1. Preference will be given to candidates with at least three years of experience in contract drafting, commercial analysis, contractor negotiations, dispute resolution, tender processes, contractor performance reviews, and contract closing within a medium to large mining operation or construction company. Recent graduates with experience working on a mine site are welcome to apply. 
  1. Computer literacy. Must be experienced with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Basic understanding of Indonesian Contract Law. 
  1. Good communication skills, adaptability to a dynamic workflow, strong teamwork, and analytical skills. 
  1. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work under pressure with challenging deadlines, while delivering high-quality results. 
  1. Demonstrated strong ethics in dealing with suppliers and/or contractors. 
  1. Good time management skills. Proven ability to prioritize. 
  1. Desirable have been involved in organizational activities, competitions, or campus projects related to data analysis, negotiation, or document administration and experience in multidisciplinary projects (engineering, finance, or legal exposure). 
  1. Sufficient technical knowledge for the contract department and maintain integrity towards the SCM Code of Ethics. 
  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and contract administration applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Contract Lifecycle Management) 
  1. Basic understanding of legal drafting and contractual correspondence. 
  1. Certified Procurement Specialist (BNSP) or Contract Management Certification.
