This role is based at the Martabe Gold Mine Site within the Human Resources Department, reporting directly to the Manager – Human Capital.
The role of the Superintendent – HR Recruitment, IR and Expat Formalities is to
- Ensure all recruitment activities are conducted safely, in compliance with established procedures and applicable regulations.
- Deliver high-quality recruitment services by managing the end-to-end process, aligned with departmental needs and requirements.
- Oversee recruitment activities to ensure alignment with the company’s Manpower Plan and Manning Budget.
- Implement and monitor the Internship Program in accordance with company policy.
- Manage Industrial Relations activities, ensuring employees understand and operate within company rules and government regulations, while overseeing expatriate documentation processes.
- Establish and maintain constructive, harmonious relationships with Trade Union representatives, government manpower offices at district, provincial, and central levels, as well as Immigration, Police, APINDO, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Assist the Manager – Human Capital in preparing and monitoring:
a. The annual budget for Recruitment and Industrial Relations, including budget utilization.
b. Budgets, planning, and execution of annual HR events (e.g., ESRA, Pre-Independence Day, and Family Day).
Applicants for this position are required to fulfill the following qualifications and criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Law, Human Resources Management, or Administration.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Recruitment, Industrial Relations and Expatriate Formalities, preferably within the gold mining industry.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian labor, union, and expatriate regulations.
- Proven experience in recruitment and selection processes.
- Familiarity with recruitment and assessment tools.
- Skilled in interview techniques, psychological assessment tools, scoring, and interpretation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- High computer literacy, including MS Windows, MS Office, intranet, internet, and HRIS systems.
- Ability to work under tight schedules and deliver results within set targets.
- Experience in coordinating with supervisors/managers to support the design, planning, and implementation of performance management systems, individual development plans, and career/succession planning.
- Strong listening and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information effectively.
- Ability to foster positive relationships, demonstrate respect for others, and build effective partnerships.
- Proven capability in managing teams, building commitment, making decisions, and being accountable for team performance to achieve organizational goals.
