The Internal Audit Supervisor will collaborate closely with the Internal Audit Manager and Senior Supervisor in developing audit plans and executing independent assurance activities, prioritizing assignments based on stakeholder input, risk exposure, and the significance of identified issues. The role is also responsible for supporting the promotion of sound governance practices and maintaining the effectiveness of internal control processes across the organization.
In addition, the Internal Audit Supervisor will provide advisory support to various business functions by identifying opportunities for improvement in the development and enhancement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and operational processes in response to audit findings and agreed action plans, while maintaining the independence and objectivity of the Internal Audit function.
The role will also support the execution of internal audit projects aimed at strengthening governance frameworks, improving operational effectiveness, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal corporate standards. Furthermore, the successful candidate will assist in monitoring PTAR’s compliance with key regulatory obligations, supporting business assurance activities, and preparing audit reports for internal corporate stakeholders, including PAMA, United Tractors, and Astra International.
Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Management, or other relevant disciplines from a reputable university.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years of experience in auditing, demonstrating sound business judgment, professional maturity, and strong business acumen.
- Strong understanding of the principles and implementation of good corporate governance, business and operational risk management, as well as internal control processes and procedures. Knowledge of mining operations, safety management, and tailings management principles will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and governance processes.
- Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and prioritizing risks across various IT environments, including applications, operating systems, databases, system implementation, and technology upgrades.
- Ability to conduct investigations related to fraud and compliance issues, ensuring timely handling, proper documentation, and accurate reporting in accordance with established procedures.
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare, present, and effectively communicate internal audit findings, recommendations, and reports.
- Good understanding of the COSO Internal Control Framework and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework.
- Familiarity with insurance processes, financial risk management, and broader business assurance practices.
