This position is based at the Martabe Gold Mine Site and reports directly to the Superintendent – Information Technology.
Coordinator – IT Security & Operations will be responsible for maintaining and strengthening the security of PTAR’s information systems and data. Key responsibilities include implementing security measures, conducting risk assessments, developing and maintaining security policies and procedures, monitoring potential security threats, and supporting the investigation of security incidents.
Applicants should possess the following qualifications and competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, IT Operations, or IT Security.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, operating systems, cloud services, and enterprise applications.
- Experience with cybersecurity technologies and operations, such as firewalls, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and security monitoring.
- Familiarity with security platforms such as SIEM, SOC, SOAR, or similar monitoring solutions.
- Good understanding of IT security controls, risk management, and incident response practices.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and frameworks, including ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls.
- Experience in developing or maintaining IT and information security policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Good communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
