This position will be located at the Martabe Site within the Operation TSF Department and will report directly to the Senior Engineer – TSF.
The role of Engineer – TSF is to ensure that the TSF, South Dump, and ATF are constructed in compliance with design specifications and QA/QC standards. Additionally, the role involves overseeing the development, reporting, and interpretation of TSF instrumentation monitoring, including implementing controls for AMD management.
Key responsibilities include supervising and reporting on QA/QC activities, such as field and laboratory testing. The TSF Engineer is also responsible for managing geotechnical instrumentation related to the TSF, including overseeing installation activities.
Candidates for this position are expected to meet the following qualifications and criteria:
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineer with a major in Geotechnical Engineering.
- 2–3 years of experience in a mining company or civil works related to geotechnical engineering.
- Experience in dam construction, particularly in construction planning for mining companies, is preferred.
- Possession of a POP/POM certificate.
- Proficiency in soil mechanics and soil laboratory testing.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical instrumentation.
- Computer proficiency, including software such as Plaxis, Slide, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, and AutoCAD or Surpac.
- Strong skills in monitoring, evaluation, and report preparation.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively and manage time efficiently.
- A quick learner, capable of absorbing new information and applying relevant knowledge to problem-solving.
