This position will be based at the Martabe Gold Mine Site within the Mineral Resources Department and will report directly to the Project Geologist – Mineral Resources.
The Junior Geologist – Mineral Resources is responsible for supporting the Project Geologist – Mineral Resources in executing annual work programs, including quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures and the development of geological and mineralization models.
Candidates for this position are expected to meet the following qualifications and criteria:
- Recent graduate or up to 2 years of experience in exploration or mine geology.
- Strong work ethic with a high level of self-motivation.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to listen actively and convey information clearly.
- Demonstrated initiative in achieving challenging work targets and delivering satisfactory results.
- Capable of conducting high-quality geological core logging, ASD (spectral) analysis, and interpretation.
- Ensure accurate geological data collection in accordance with QA/QC protocols and database standards.
- Assist in the development of 3D geological and mineralization models.
- Perform basic statistical and geospatial analyses on mineralized models.
