This position will be based at the Martabe Gold Mine Site within the Environment Department and will report directly to the Superintendent – Environmental Technical Support.
The Senior Supervisor – Environmental Assurance is responsible for ensuring that hazardous materials, hazardous waste (LB3), and non-hazardous waste are managed in full compliance with applicable Indonesian regulations, AMDAL/ESIA commitments, and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System requirements.
The role provides environmental assurance through inspections, monitoring, compliance verification, contractor oversight, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will also promote environmental awareness across PT Agincourt Resources and contractor organisations through coaching, training, and environmental engagement programmes.
Candidates for this position are expected to meet the following qualifications and criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Forestry, Water Resources Management, or a related discipline.
- A Master’s degree (S2) in a relevant field will be an advantage.
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in environmental management within the mining industry or other heavy industries.
- Proven experience in hazardous waste (LB3), hazardous materials (B3), and domestic waste management, including supporting environmental compliance, inspections, and regulatory reporting.
- Experience working within ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems. Experience working with contractors and external regulators will be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian environmental legislation, permitting requirements, and mining environmental management practices.
- Sound understanding of AMDAL, UKL-UPL, RKL-RPL, ESIA, environmental compliance obligations, and the PROPER Environmental Performance Assessment Programme.
- Familiarity with hazardous materials management, hazardous waste regulations, solid waste management, and waste reduction through circular economy and 3R principles.
- Fluent in spoken and written Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid Indonesian Light Vehicle (LV) Driving Licence is preferred. Hazardous Waste Management (PPLB3) Certification is preferred.
