This position will be based at the Martabe Site within the OHS Department and will report directly to the Superintendent – Safety & ERT.

The responsibilities of the Senior Supervisor – ERT Instructor is responsible for developing the competencies and technical abilities of the ERT and Volunteer teams in controlling emergency situations that occur in the Martabe area. Details regarding the position description are as follows:

  • Acting as a back-to-back if the Operational ERT Senior Supervisor is not present 
  • Creating programs to maintain the capabilities and technical abilities of the ERT and Volunteer teams in facing emergency situations
  • Planning internal and external ERT team Training activities
  • Creating programs and implementing emergency response simulations according to risk assessments and predetermined schedules
  • Ensuring the capabilities and certifications of the ERT team are in line with company needs and government regulations
  • Creating and conducting refresher training programs for all ERT and Volunteer teams
  • Selecting and training ERT teams to participate in SFRC, PFRC, and IFRC activities
  • Preparing and leading ERT teams to participate in internal and external competitions
  • Budgeting for ERT team programs as needed
  • Forming Volunteer ERT teams from the work area representatives according to the needs and risk assessments
  • Organizing ERT teams to follow safety procedures when handling emergency situations, conducting training activities, and other daily activities
  • Encouraging all ERT teams to remain cohesive and cooperative 
  • Compiling reports and presentations on all programs and activities conducted.

Applicants for this position are expected to meet the following qualifications and criteria:

  1. Bachelor of Technical Program, Education & Training or Relevant Field at a minimum.
  2. A minimum of 5 years working in a mining company
  3. Deliver trainings to the ERT team and other departments according to the needs.
  4. Able to do other tasks according to the assignment.
  5. Participate in IFRC or other national competitions as a Trainer/Instructor/Assessor.
  6. Valid Indonesian driving license of Light Vehicle
  7. Certified trainer
  8. Good verbal English skills.
  9. Familiar with computer applications.
  10. Able to listen and communicate information effectively both verbal and written
  11. Able to develop self-potentials
  12. Able to maintain harmonious relationships, understand and respect each other to build effective relations
  13. Able to manage subordinates or other people, through the process of building commitment, making decisions and taking responsibility for the actions of the team in order to achieve the team or organisation’s goals
  14. Able to harness self-potentials in order to deal with high and challenging work targets, so that satisfactory work outcomes are attained
  15. Able to make realistic and comprehensive short-term and long-term work plans and manage work execution including controlling the accomplishment
