This position will be based at Martabe Site in Processing (Maintenance) Department, and and will report directly to the Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor.
The role of the Electrical and Instrumentation Tradesperson encompasses providing hands-on assistance to Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Supervisors. The primary objective is to ensure the professional, safe, diligent, prompt, and cost-efficient execution of maintenance, modification, servicing, and installation activities by the E&I maintenance team. This involves giving due consideration to the priority requirements of the Process Plants and associated infrastructure’s electrical and instrumentation systems, equipment, and apparatus. Close collaboration with colleagues in the Electrical and Instrumentation, Mechanical, Process, and Metallurgical teams, as well as Maintenance Planning and Warehouse personnel, is imperative for the overall success of this role.
Candidates for this position are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience, and attributes:
- Completion of a Polytechnic/Technical training institute program or an approved Electrical apprenticeship program.
- Certification in K3 Listrik.
- Certification in HV Switching.
- Possession of a valid recognized Driver’s license.
- Certification in First Aid.
- Previous experience in comparable roles as an Electrical Tradesperson within the mining, oil & gas, or a similar heavy industrial environment.
- Proficiency in electrical and instrumentation maintenance, problem-solving, and inspection processes.
- Experience in electrical and instrumentation installation methods and practices.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematic and single-line drawings.
- Solid understanding of world-class and Indonesian mining standards, as well as associated safety standards (SMKP, ANZS, BS, IEC, and ASTM).
- Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards within the mineral processing industry.
- Capability to comprehend and efficiently execute written and oral instructions.
- Proficiency in preparing reports and maintaining accurate records.
- Competence in demonstrating ‘Safe Working Procedures’ to subordinates.
- Practical knowledge of Pronto or similar CMMS software.
- Preferred experience in the maintenance of VPA filter press machines.
- Proficiency in HV switching operations.
- Experience in electrical construction and commissioning of Mineral Processing Plant.
- Basic understanding of Industrial Control Systems (ICS).
- Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet usage.
- Experience and knowledge in fixed plant equipment maintenance, such as crushers, belt/screw conveyors, vibrating screens, SAG/Ball/Vertical mills, pumps, hydraulic systems, and VPA filter presses.
- Adequate verbal and written English language communication skills.
