Agincourt Resources Supported Batangtoru and Muara Batangtoru Students to Enter Top High Schools and PTNs Through Focused Learning and Classes

On Wednesday, October 4, 2023, PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing education quality in South Tapanuli, particularly in Batangtoru and Muara Batangtoru Districts, by inaugurating the Focused Learning and Focused Class initiative for Junior High School (SMP) and Senior High School (SMA) levels at the Sopo Daganak facility.

The Focused Learning Program and Focused Classes for Middle School and High School levels are part of PTAR’s educational endeavors, carried out in collaboration with the Sony Sugema College (SSC) Study Tutoring Institute. This initiative is tailored to mentor junior and senior high school students, aiding them in securing admissions to reputable high schools and esteemed national universities. Additionally, students receive comprehensive insights about schools, state universities, and prospective majors.  

The number of students in focused classes and focused learning amounted to 143 students, consisting of 30 students from grade IX, 36 students from grade X, 30 students from grade XI, and 47 students from grade XII. The program launch, which took place on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the Sopo Daganak Building, was attended by approximately 284 individuals, including teachers, students, parents, representatives from the Education Department, and LBB SSC.  

During the event, PTAR’s Community Development Manager, Rohani Simbolon, elucidated that the Focused Class program is crafted for Class IX, whereas Focused Learning caters to Class XI and Class XII. By engaging in these initiatives, students are encouraged to achieve an average score of ≥ 500 in the UTBK SNBT mock exams.  

Branch Head of the Region XI Education Service, Oloan Nasution, expressed hope that selected students would actively participate in the program. He extended gratitude to PTAR for its continuous support in enhancing the educational standards and human resources of South Tapanuli.
