Agincourt Resources Supports the Improvement of the Quality of Teachers in South Tapanuli Through Subject Teacher Training

Agincourt Resources orchestrated a training program for elementary, junior high, and high school Mathematics and Biology teachers in collaboration with the POSI Foundation (Indonesian Science Olympiad Training) in Medan. This initiative received support from the South Tapanuli District Education Office, the Education Office Branch of Region XI in North Sumatra, and the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The comprehensive training spanned 8 days, occurring from November 13 to 16, 2023, and then from November 27 to 30, 2023.

The training concluded on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at SMP Negeri 1 Pargarutan, culminating in a Mathematics and Biology competition. The objective was to evaluate how the trained teachers could apply their knowledge and mentor their students for participation in the National Science Olympiad (OSN), particularly in Mathematics and Biology.

With the participation of 150 teachers from elementary, junior high, and high schools, the competition identified winners from the Batangtoru and Muara Batangtoru districts. Notable achievers included Aisyah Fitri Pulungan, an Elementary Mathematics teacher at SD Negeri No.100718 Napa Batangtoru, securing 1st place; Herlina Agustina, a Junior High Mathematics teacher at SMP Negeri 2 Batangtoru, claiming 1st place; Willy Mulyardi Pambudi Lubis, a High School Biology teacher at SMA Negeri 1 Batangtoru, achieving 1st place; and Sery Bulan Harahap, an Elementary Biology teacher at SDN 100907 Muara Ampolu, clinching 3rd place.

The Community Development Manager, Rohani Simbolon, conveyed that this support underscores the company’s commitment through the Community Development and Empowerment (PPM) program in the educational sector. Agincourt Resources will persist in its efforts to assist the government in enhancing the quality of education in South Tapanuli, particularly in the Batangtoru and Muara Batangtoru subdistricts.

On this occasion, the Head of the Education Office of South Tapanuli Regency, Arman Pasaribu, and the representative of the Education Office Branch of Region XI in North Sumatra, Saripuddin, express gratitude to Agincourt Resources for outstanding collaboration in participating in activities aimed at enhancing the quality of teachers in South Tapanuli, particularly in the Batangtoru and Muara Batangtoru subdistricts.
