On Tuesday, February 20, 2024, Agincourt Resources again held a Dissemination and Announcement of the Laboratory Results of the Martabe Gold Mine Processed Water. In this activity, it was stated that based on the results of laboratory tests on the processed water of the Martabe Gold Mine in the second semester of 2023, it meets all quality standards set by the government, referring to the Decree of the Minister of Environment and Forestry (LHK) No. 202 of 2024. No less importantly, this activity is a form of transparency of the Company’s operations to the public.
This was conveyed by Agincourt Resources Senior Manager Government Relations Irwanto Situmorang on the sidelines of his speech at the event held at the Mega Permata Hotel, Padangsidimpuan. “Environmental management is one of Agincourt Resources’ priorities in the operation of the Martabe Gold Mine and the Company consistently does its best and complies with all government regulations at the district, provincial and national levels.” The dissemination and announcement began with the opening of the laboratory test result envelope followed by a reading of the results by the Expert Team of the University of North Sumatra (USU), namely Drs. Chairuddin, M.Si., and Ir. Eka Onwardhana, M.T. This activity was also attended by 100 invitees consisting of representatives of the South Tapanuli Regency Government, the Batangtoru and Muara Batangtoru Sub-District Leadership Coordination Forum (Muspika), the Integrated Processed Water Quality Monitoring Team and representatives of the community around the mine. The dissemination and announcement were also witnessed directly by the Head of the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the North Sumatra Environmental Service Laboratory, Rita Mestika, and the Head of the South Tapanuli Environmental Service, Ongku Muda Atas.
