Gema Ramadhan 2024, A Platform to Enhance the Piety of the Young Generation in Batangtoru and Muara Batangtoru

Batangtoru, March 28, 2024 – For one week from March 16 to 23, 2024, the excitement of Gema Ramadhan 2024, organized by Agincourt Resources, was present in Sopo Daganak. Several competitions and activities filled Gema Ramadhan 2024, such as the Little Preacher Competition, Azan Competition, Quran Memorization, Quran Interpretation, and Quran Recitation for children and teenagers. The peak of Gema Ramadhan 2024 was held on Sunday, March 24, 2024, along with the awarding of prizes to the winners as a form of appreciation, which included trophies and coaching support. Gema Ramadhan 2024 was attended by more than 170 participants from Batangtoru and Muara Batangtoru Subdistricts.

However, this activity was not just a competition. Agincourt Resources also showed its concern by providing assistance to 620 orphans from Batangtoru and Muara Batangtoru Districts. In addition, 1,500 elderly people from around the Martabe Gold Mine also received Eid al-Fitr packages as a form of the Company’s social concern. 

Superintendent Community Relations Sugeng Maskat emphasized that the implementation of the annual Gema Ramadhan this time also confirmed Agincourt Resources’ commitment to supporting religious activities, especially for the younger generation. He also expressed his gratitude for the support and good cooperation from religious leaders in the two districts. It is hoped that through collaboration and concern for religious values, and the spirit of togetherness, this event can continue to be carried out in future programs. 

“Gema Ramadhan is not only a competition event, but also a part of the Community Development and Empowerment (PPM) program in the religious field. With the support of various parties, such as the MUI, KUA, religious leaders, and scholars, this event aims to improve understanding and religious values, especially among the younger generation from 32 villages in Batangtoru and Muara Batangtoru Subdistricts.”
