Agincourt Resources, together with the South Tapanuli District Health Office and the South Tapanuli District General Hospital, once again held a free specialist doctor’s village outreach event in Salahia Hamlet, Batuhoring Village. This event was held on Saturday, April 21, 2024, with the aim of providing free health services to all levels of society in the Batangtoru Subdistrict.
There was high enthusiasm from the community for this event. A total of 229 patients came to seek examination and treatment from the three specialist doctors who were present. The pediatrician served 128 patients, the obstetrician and gynecologist served 14 patients, and the internist served 87 patients. Hypertension, heart disease, and respiratory disorders were the focus of the internist’s attention. Pneumonia, malnutrition, and common childhood health problems were the focus of the pediatrician’s attention. Meanwhile, the obstetrician and gynecologist handled pregnancy examinations and reproductive problems.
The services provided in this event were not only comprehensive but also of high quality. Patients gained access to various services such as ultrasound examinations for pregnant women, EKGs for patients with heart complaints, and blood sugar, cholesterol, and uric acid tests. Health education on various diseases was also held. This community service is not just a routine activity, but also one of Agincourt Resources’ efforts to improve access to health in remote areas.
