On Sunday, July 28, 2024, in commemoration of the 40th National Children’s Day, Agincourt Resources, in collaboration with Persatuan Sahabat Cerdas (Persada), held a grand Children’s Arts Performance at Sopo Daganak, Napa Village, Batang Toru District. The event, themed “Protected Children, Advanced Indonesia,” successfully brought together hundreds of children from 14 Children’s Reading Gardens (TBA) in Batang Toru and Muara Batang Toru districts on one colorful stage.
More than 206 young performers showcased 20 captivating performances. A variety of performances, ranging from traditional dances to modern music, captivated the audience. The children’s creativity in interpreting traditional stories in modern art forms was a unique attraction of this event.
Agincourt Resources’ Senior Manager of Community, Christine Pepah, stated, “We are delighted to see the enthusiasm of the children in showcasing their talents. This activity aligns with our commitment to supporting the development of the younger generation and preserving local culture.”

As a form of support for the development of arts and culture in Batang Toru District, Agincourt Resources has provided various facilities and training to the Sopo Daganak Art Studio. This has proven to yield impressive results, as in 2024, the Sopo Daganak Art Studio won second place in the Nusantara Cultural Heritage Competition in Jakarta and will represent Indonesia in a cultural event in Turkey in November.
The Head of the South Tapanuli Regency Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Office, Hubban Hasibuan, expressed his high appreciation for the collaboration between Agincourt Resources and Persada. “Thanks to the support of Agincourt Resources, Tapanuli Selatan Regency has achieved the status of a Child-Friendly Regency in the Medium category. We hope this good cooperation can continue,” said Hubban.
The Children’s Arts Performance organized by Agincourt Resources and Persada is concrete proof that collaboration between companies, the community, and the government can produce activities that benefit children. This event not only provides entertainment but also has a positive impact on the development of children’s character and creativity, as well as the preservation of local culture.
