494 Students in South Tapanuli and Padangsidimpuan Awarded Martabe Prestasi Scholarships Worth a Total of IDR4.3 Billion

To accelerate human capital development in South Tapanuli and Padangsidimpuan, Agincourt Resources has once again disbursed the Martabe Prestasi Scholarship for the 2024/2025 academic year. A total of 494 students, ranging from elementary school to university level, have benefited from this program, with a total value of IDR4.32 billion. 

Since its inception in 2017, the Martabe Prestasi Scholarship has seen a continuous increase in recipients and expanded its coverage. Currently, the scholarship for high school and university levels covers South Tapanuli Regency, while top universities in both South Tapanuli Regency and Padangsidimpuan City are included. To date, Agincourt Resources has awarded scholarships to 1,651 students, with a total expenditure of Rp12.8 billion. 

 The Martabe Prestasi Scholarship program assists students in pursuing higher education at top universities in Indonesia. Several recipients in 2024 have been accepted at prestigious institutions such as Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Padjadjaran University, Andalas University, University of North Sumatra (USU), and Astra Polytechnic.

 General Manager of Operations and Deputy Director of Operations at Agincourt Resources, Rahmat Lubis, emphasized the importance of education as a long-term investment. The Martabe Prestasi Scholarship is expected to create more opportunities for the younger generation to achieve their aspirations and contribute to regional development. “We believe that education is the key to a better future. Through this program, we aim to provide opportunities for high-achieving students from underprivileged families to pursue higher education,” said Rahmat. 

The Regent of South Tapanuli Selatan, Dolly Pasaribu, expressed appreciation for Agincourt Resources’ initiative in supporting education in the region. He hopes that this program will motivate the younger generation to continue learning and achieving excellence. “I would like to thank Agincourt Resources for their concern for education in Tapanuli Selatan. This scholarship is very meaningful for the students and their families,” said Dolly.

Amalina Ritonga, a student at MAN 2 Padangsidimpuan, expressed her joy and gratitude for being accepted into the Agribusiness Management program at IPB and receiving the Martabe Prestasi Scholarship. She never expected to be able to pursue higher education. “This scholarship has helped me realize my dream of studying at IPB. Hopefully, after graduating, my knowledge will be beneficial to my family and community,” she said. 

Devi Rahayu Panggabean also expressed gratitude for receiving the Martabe Prestasi Scholarship. With this scholarship, the SMA Negeri 1 Batang Toru student can now pursue a degree in Agrotechnology at USU. “After graduating, I want to apply my knowledge to develop Tapanuli Selatan. I also want to encourage other students in South Tapanuli to obtain the Martabe Prestasi Scholarship so they can achieve their dreams,” said Devi.
