Senior Manager Community at Agincourt Resources, Christine Pepah, stated that this program was made possible through close collaboration between Agincourt Resources, the schools, relevant authorities, and other stakeholders. “The renovation of classrooms and the provision of furniture was carried out in accordance with the technical standards of the government regulations. We hope that the schools will make good use of these facilities with proper maintenance and management,” she said.
The collaboration between Agincourt Resources, the local government, and the community has been key to the success of the PPM program. Rosalina Dolly Pasaribu, Chairperson of the Tapanuli Selatan Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) Team, expressed her gratitude for Agincourt Resources’ support. “We are deeply thankful for the assistance provided by Agincourt Resources. These facilities are greatly beneficial to the community, particularly in the areas of education and agriculture,” she said.
In addition to the school renovations, Agincourt Resources also donated a soil testing laboratory vehicle to the South Tapanuli Department of Agriculture. This contribution is intended to support the government in mapping land conditions, crop suitability, and soil fertility across various areas in South Tapanuli. Agincourt Resources has already conducted mapping in 15 Direct Affected Villages (DAV) in Batang Toru and Muara Batang Toru districts, in collaboration with experts from the University of North Sumatra (USU) and PT Surveyor Indonesia. With the availability of the soil lab vehicle, it is hoped that the local government can extend mapping efforts beyond the initial 15 DAVs.
The management and maintenance of the soil lab vehicle are entrusted entirely to the South Tapanuli Department of Agriculture. Through this PPM initiative, Agincourt Resources hopes that the facilities provided will be utilized to their fullest potential for the welfare of the community and will have a lasting positive impact on the region’s development.
