From Monday to Wednesday, November 18–20, 2024, Agincourt Resources conducted an intensive Technical Guidance (Bimtek) program on Frozen Semen Handling for 10 of our fostered Sukarelawan Kesehatan Hewan (Sukakeswan). This Bimtek is a continuation of the Basic Level Bimtek which was held on July 22 – August 12, 2024 at BIB Lembang. The main objective of this Bimtek is to improve the competence of the Sukakeswan, especially the Inseminators in handling frozen semen (sperm) of goats and cows, so that the quality of frozen sperm is maintained.
The technical guidance materials covered various important aspects of the articial insemination process, from fresh semen collection and quality evaluation, frozen semen production, to proper semen handling techniques in liquid nitrogen container storage facilities. The participants were also trained to observe the safe limit of liquid nitrogen volume for optimal frozen semen storage. All sessions were guided by an expert from the Artificial Insemination Center (BIB) Lembang, Seno Prihandoko.

Sugiman, the Chairman of Sukakeswan, also expressed gratitude for the opportunity. “We hope the knowledge gained through this training will benefit the community and advance livestock farming in Tapanuli Selatan Regency,” he said.
As part of our holistic support, Agincourt Resources not only organized the training but also provided various livestock-related facilities. These include a frozen semen bank housing superior livestock genetics such as Simmental, Limousin, PO (Ongole Crossbreed), and Boer goat breeds. Additionally, the company has strategic plans to develop a biogas unit utilizing livestock waste and a modern slaughterhouse in Batang Toru, further demonstrating its commitment to sustainable community development.
