As part of its commitment to the surrounding community, the Community Department of Agincourt Resources and the Insan Mulia PAMA Foundation of Martabe Gold Mine organized a Tabligh Akbar event featuring renowned preacher Ustad Abdul Somad on Saturday, November 30, 2024. Held at the PTPN IV Regional I Field Kebun Batang Toru soccer field, the event attracted thousands of attendees from various regions.
With the theme “The Beauty of Togetherness in the Bond of Ukhuwah Islamiyah,” the event emphasized the importance of harmony and mutual respect among individuals. Initially targeted to accommodate 3,000 participants, the overwhelming enthusiasm of the community led to attendance far exceeding expectations.
In his opening speech, Rahmat Lubis, General Manager Operations & Deputy Director Operations of Agincourt Resources and Chairman of the Insan Mulia PAMA Foundation, expressed the company’s commitment to supporting religious programs within the community. “We hope this event benefits the community, enhancing religious knowledge and strengthening bonds of fellowship,” he stated.
In his insightful sermon, Ustad Abdul Somad invited all attendees to live in harmony, maintain Islamic brotherhood, and be grateful. He emphasized the importance of gratitude, which can be expressed through words, deeds, and the heart. He suggested expressing gratitude through words by guarding one’s speech, through wealth by giving zakat and charity, and avoiding harmful activities like online gambling. Additionally, he encouraged expressing gratitude through actions by performing more acts of worship, and through the heart by cultivating patience.

Earlier that day, Ustad Abdul Somad also conducted a dawn sermon at Al Muhajirin Mosque in the Pelangi Camp of Martabe Gold Mine, attended by representatives from various departments.
