On Wednesday, March 5, 2025, Agincourt Resources held the kick-off event for the Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) Forum program alongside the monitoring team formed from 15 Direct Affected Villages (DAV). This initiative is part of Agincourt Resources’ 2025 community development program and took place at Sopo Daganak, Napa Village.
The event was attended by various stakeholders, including Agincourt Resources’ Community Relations Manager, Masdar Muda, who explained the objectives of the Monev program. “The purpose of this kick-off is to collect and verify data related to beneficiaries, discuss the data collection process from village/urban learning units, and compile recommendations that will be implemented across the 15 direct affected villages,” said Masdar Muda. He expressed his hope that the formation of the Monev team would ensure Agincourt Resources’ programs are well-targeted and aligned with community needs.

Representing Agincourt Resources’ management, Community Development Manager Rohani Simbolon congratulated the 49 monitoring team members who would be conducting evaluations. “This forum is designed to monitor Agincourt Resources’ Community Development Program (PPM),” explained Rohani Simbolon. “The team will assess program effectiveness, partnership synchronization, and provide independent evaluations. These assessments will determine whether Agincourt Resources’ programs are effective, implemented as planned, and aligned with the development priorities of South Tapanuli.” She added that this program reflects Agincourt Resources’ commitment to transparency in its efforts to enhance community well-being in the post-mining phase.
The Head of Governance Affairs of South Tapanuli Regency, Yohanes, expressed his appreciation for Agincourt Resources’ initiative. “We appreciate and commend this program,” said Yohanes. “Monitoring is essential to ensure that all Agincourt Resources’ programs run effectively. To the monitoring team, I extend my best wishes for your work. You represent the community and must actively ensure that Agincourt Resources’ programs are well-targeted. This is a strong synergy between the company, local government, and the community.” The event concluded with the signing of a commitment by the monitoring teams from the 15 DAVs, representatives from the South Tapanuli Regency Government, and Agincourt Resources. This commitment includes participation in technical discussions, training, mentoring, quarterly discussions, and maintaining the confidentiality of data and information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
