As a tangible manifestation of its commitment to community empowerment, Agincourt Resources organized the Martabe Food Court Cooking Competition from 20 April to 20 June 2025 at Sopo Daganak, Napa Village. This initiative served as both a culinary training and the first-ever cooking competition held by Agincourt Resources, aimed at identifying and developing the potential of local culinary entrepreneurs. The program is designed to foster a sustainable entrepreneurship ecosystem while also creating new job opportunities beyond the mining sector.

The competition attracted 23 top participants selected from hundreds of applicants, competing in three main categories: Dessert Stall Operators, Snack Stall Operators, and Main Course Chefs. The total prize reached Rp 22.5 million, along with the opportunity for an exclusive one-year contract as a tenant and chef at Martabe Food Court, which will be built soon. The initiative received full support from the South Tapanuli Regency Office of Industry, and the Office of Trade, Cooperatives, and SMEs, symbolizing strong collaboration between the company and local government in creating independent and sustainable employment.
Rohani Simbolon, Manager of Community Development at Agincourt Resources, stated in her opening remarks that the competition was not merely a culinary showcase but a strategic step toward local economic development. “We designed this program to build a sustainable entrepreneurship system. The Martabe Food Court is envisioned not only as a dining facility but also as a platform for local culinary MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) to grow, gain recognition, and become self-reliant,” she said.
