In commemoration of World Environment Day 2025, Agincourt Resources organized a company-wide Clean Up Day on Thursday, 5 June 2025, as a concrete demonstration of its commitment to sustainable environmental management. The clean-up initiative was simultaneously carried out across all work areas and involved the active participation of employees and business partners, who collectively removed waste—particularly non-degradable single-use plastics, from their respective workplaces.

World Environment Day, observed annually on 5 June, is a global initiative established by the United Nations in 1972. This year’s theme, “Together, We Can Beat Plastic Pollution,” highlights the urgent need for collective action in reducing the production and consumption of plastic, a growing threat to the planet’s ecosystems. According to global data, approximately 430 million tonnes of plastic are produced each year, with two-thirds becoming short-lived waste that pollutes oceans, contaminates the food chain, and endangers biodiversity.
The Clean Up Day initiative at Agincourt Resources reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to maintaining a clean and healthy work environment. Over the past three years, the company has made significant strides in domestic waste management through the operation of Waste Sortation Facilities (WSF). The latest data shows that, between June 2024 and May 2025, 71% of the total domestic waste generated has been managed in accordance with the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (3R).

Through initiatives such as Clean Up Day and the implementation of WSF, Agincourt Resources actively contributes to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and Goal 13 (Climate Action).
