On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, Agincourt Resources, represented by its Supervisor of Environmental Rehabilitation, Mahyu Dharsono, actively participated in the 2025 World Environment Day commemoration. This event, organized by the South Tapanuli Regency Government, took place at the Menara Pandang Botanical Garden in the South Tapanuli (Tapsel) Regency Government Office Complex in Sipirok. Carrying the theme “Stop Plastic Pollution,” the initiative was a collaborative effort involving various corporations, local government bodies, community leaders, and students from across South Tapanuli Regency.

The event, which was officially opened by South Tapanuli Vice Regent, Jafar Syahbuddin Ritonga, also saw the attendance of Head of the Tapsel Environmental Agency, Ongku Atas Sormin, alongside heads of regional government organizations (OPD) and representatives from numerous non-governmental organizations (NGOs). During this occasion, Agincourt Resources affirmed its tangible commitment to mitigating plastic pollution through a range of initiatives. These endeavors include promoting the use of stainless steel tumblers among employees, delivering environmental education, conducting plastic waste recycling training, and bolstering waste banks as integral components of a circular economy.
Mahyu Dharsono stated, “Our participation in this World Environment Day commemoration underscores Agincourt Resources’ earnest dedication to fostering actions that reduce plastic waste. We have implemented policies to decrease the use of single-use plastic bottles within our operational areas and actively advocate for environmentally friendly beverage containers among all employees.” He further elaborated that these efforts, while seemingly small, are crucial steps toward preserving ecosystem sustainability and safeguarding the planet’s future.

South Tapanuli Vice Regent, Jafar Syahbuddin Ritonga, underscored, “Plastic pollution poses a tangible threat that we must confront collectively.
