In his remarks, Rahmat Lubis explained that the training participants were selected through a rigorous process involving 388 applicants from surrounding villages. After several stages of evaluation, 60 candidates were shortlisted, and 15 of the most qualified were selected, 14 men and 1 woman, representing each village and subdistrict in the mine’s vicinity. “These selected individuals are truly outstanding. This is a valuable opportunity to demonstrate strong character, discipline, and personal excellence,” he stated.

Head of the South Tapanuli Manpower Office, Achmad Raja, expressed his appreciation for Agincourt Resources’ dedication to empowering local communities. “The Martabe Gold Mine has significantly expanded employment opportunities and improved the local economy. As a result, our unemployment rate is among the lowest in North Sumatra,” he noted.

The training also brought a wave of optimism among the participants. Rizki Maysaroh, the only female trainee from Wek II Village, Batang Toru, shared her appreciation: “This program has taught me the importance of discipline and skill development.
