As part to improve public health services, a Training on Environmental Health Quality Monitoring for Community Health Centre Sanitation Staff was held from 26th–29th August 2025 at the Health Training Unit, Provincial Health Office of North Sumatra. The programme was attended by 28 sanitation officers from various community health centres (puskesmas) across South Tapanuli Regency, together with representatives from South Tapanuli Regency Health Office and South Tapanuli Regency Environment Office.
The event was formally opened by the Head of Public Health Division, South Tapanuli District Health Office, Mawarni Batubara, who expressed appreciation to Agincourt Resources for its strong support in enhancing the capacity of local health personnel. “We hope this training is not merely a formality, but a real opportunity to enhance knowledge and implement follow-up action plans in each puskesmas,” he remarked.

Also present were representatives from the North Sumatra Health Training Centre, Edi Yusfikan Nasution, and Saptade Dwi Putra Sitepu. Their participation reflected cross-institutional support for improving the quality of healthcare professionals in the region.
The four-day training combined classroom sessions with practical fieldwork. Participants studied monitoring of air, water, and food quality, and conducted environmental health inspections at schools and restaurants. All participants successfully passed competency assessments and received official certification from the Ministry of Health.
Manager Community Development Agincourt Resources, Rohani Simbolon, underlined that this initiative is a concrete expression of the company’s commitment to supporting community health services. The programme demonstrates the value of synergy between government, healthcare workers, and the private sector in safeguarding environmental quality while strengthening public health services in a sustainable way.
