Stepping Forward Together to Broaden Educational Horizons: Monitoring and Evaluation of Kindergarten/Early Childhood Education Teacher Training in South Tapanuli

Jan 19, 2026

In an effort to support the quality of early childhood education, Agincourt Resources conducted Monitoring and Evaluation of the Competency Enhancement Training for Early Childhood Education (PAUD) Teachers through the Tiered Basic Level Training Programme 2025 across South Tapanuli Regency on 19 January 2026. The programme was held at TK Lestari, Wek II, Batang Toru; TK Faza Azkia, Hutaraja Subdistrict, Muara Batang Toru; and TK Harapan Bunda, Gapuk Tua Subdistrict, Marancar.

The activity aimed to ensure that the Training Follow-Up Plans (Rencana Tindak Lanjut, RTL) were effectively implemented by teachers, to provide technical guidance, and to direct improvements so that training outcomes could be applied optimally in the classroom. A total of 33 TK/PAUD teachers participated in the programme. Monitoring results indicated several challenges, mainly due to the impact of natural disasters and limited communication networks in certain areas.

Monitoring and evaluation were conducted by the Agincourt Resources Community Development team, led by Superintendent of Community Services, Yayan Nuryawan, and assisted by Senior Supervisor of Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting, and Compliance, Dina Ocvita Daulay. The activity involved representatives from the South Tapanuli Regency Education Office, namely Hasbullah Syahrizal Haharap, Head of Early Childhood Education and Nonformal Education Development Division, along with his staff.

This monitoring and evaluation served not only as a supervisory measure but also as a platform for sharing experiences, fostering motivation, and ensuring that teachers could consistently apply the knowledge gained. Through this collaboration, Agincourt Resources hopes that early childhood education in South Tapanuli Regency will continue to advance, in line with the spirit of nurturing a resilient younger generation from an early age.
