As part of its commitment to biodiversity protection and sustainable environmental management, Agincourt Resources has implemented Bioacoustic Monitoring as a scientific approach to monitor biodiversity conditions surrounding the operational area and conservation zones of the Martabe Gold Mine.

This method utilises recordings of wildlife and environmental sounds as indicators to better understand species presence, activity, and ecosystem dynamics. Through the installation of automated sound recording devices (passive acoustic recorders) at several strategic locations, such as preservation zones, various wildlife sounds can be continuously recorded without disturbing their natural habitats.
The sounds of birds, amphibians, insects, and vocal mammals form part of the data analysed to identify species composition, daily activity patterns, and changes in ecosystem conditions over time. This approach enables monitoring to be conducted in a more efficient, objective, and long-term manner, including in areas that are difficult to access through conventional field surveys.
In addition to complementing visual field observations, Bioacoustic Monitoring also assists in identifying species that are typically difficult to detect, including nocturnal wildlife. The data collected subsequently becomes an important component in evaluating the effectiveness of conservation area management and rehabilitation efforts surrounding the Company’s operational areas.

The implementation of this method also supports an adaptive management approach, whereby monitoring results are used as the basis for developing more targeted environmental protection and management measures. Through the early identification of key wildlife species and indications of environmental disturbance, the Company can respond more effectively by adjusting its conservation strategies.
Through the implementation of Bioacoustic Monitoring, Agincourt Resources continues to strengthen the integration of modern scientific technology into responsible mining practices. This approach forms part of the Company’s ongoing efforts to preserve biodiversity, enhance environmental management transparency, and support its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments.
