Aug 28, 2025

As part of its commitment to supporting the development of competitive Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Agincourt Resources, through Martabe Social Enterprise, in collaboration with the Dharma Bhakti Astra Foundation (YDBA), organised a 5R and Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment (OHS&E) Management Training for culinary SMEs. The training took place on 27th–28th August 2025 at the Batang Toru Community Health Centre Hall and was attended by 22 supported culinary SME operators from Batang Toru and Muara Batang Toru, alongside the Martabe Social Enterprise team.

The event was opened by Senior SME Supervisor, Nurlailah, who emphasised the importance of implementing the 5R principles — Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain to improve productivity and operational efficiency. The first day focused on the 5R concept and practical application, during which participants assessed their work environment and applied the principles of 5R directly

On the second day, participants studied OHS&E (Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment). The material covered understanding potential hazards in the workplace, risk identification methods, and handling simulations. The training was facilitated by YDBA Instructor Pambudi Tyas Martopo, together with SME facilitators from YDBA.

Superintendent of Community Development, Yandi Rama Krisna, concluded the activity by expressing hope that all participants would apply the knowledge gained in their daily businesses. One participant, Rohima, stated that the training was very enlightening, particularly regarding the application of 5R, which she had not previously known. Through this training, culinary SMEs supported by Agincourt Resources are expected to operate more efficiently, safely, and sustainably, thereby improving product quality and business competitiveness in a challenging market environment.
