As a demonstration of its commitment to improving the quality of education, Agincourt Resources, in collaboration with the South Tapanuli Regency Education Office and the North Sumatra Centre for Teachers and Education Personnel (BBGTK), organised a Tiered Basic Training for 40 Early Childhood Education (PAUD) teachers. The programme was held from 8th–12th November 2025 at Tor Sibohi Nauli Hotel, Sipirok, with a full-time learning method to allow participants to fully focus during the training.
The event was officially opened by the PAUD Ambassador of South Tapanuli Regency, Murni Gus Irawan, and attended by the Head of the South Tapanuli Education Office, Efrida Yanti Pakpahan, the Head of BBGTK North Sumatra, Joko Ahmad Julfan, the Chairperson of the PAUD Working Group, Ira Sofyan Adil, as well as representatives from Agincourt Resources and the tutors. This training forms part of the Community Development and Empowerment Programme (PPM) in the field of education, aiming to enhance the competencies of PAUD teachers to meet the national standards for early childhood education.
The training curriculum included creative teaching strategies, understanding child development, evaluating learning outcomes, and the utilisation of digital technology in teaching and learning activities. Participants from Batang Toru, Muara Batang Toru, and Marancar districts received intensive guidance from BBGTK North Sumatra facilitators.
Rohani Simbolon, Manager of Community Development at Agincourt Resources, emphasised that the programme represents a tangible expression of the company’s concern for enhancing the capacity of educators within its operational areas.
“This training is a concrete demonstration of our commitment to supporting the improvement of early childhood education. Through this initiative, we hope PAUD teachers become more empowered, creative, and capable of delivering meaningful learning experiences for children, as part of our efforts to nurture a generation of excellence in South Tapanuli,” she stated.
Meanwhile, the PAUD Ambassador of South Tapanuli Regency, Mrs Murni Gus Irawan, expressed her appreciation for the synergy established between the local government, educational institutions, and the private sector.
