As part of its efforts to empower communities within the operational area of the Martabe Gold Mine, the Martabe Chicken Farm assisted group carried out its first egg distribution to PT GDSK at the Martabe Gold Mine site on 19th May 2026 at the GDSK warehouse.
During the activity, the Section Agriculture Development team delivered 1,000 eggs as part of a routine purchasing partnership with PT GDSK. This distribution programme is planned to continue a sustainable basis, with deliveries scheduled three times a week, where each shipment consists of approximately 1,000 eggs according to operational requirements.
In addition to supporting the needs of business partners within the mining area, the Martabe Chicken Farm team also actively markets eggs to communities around Batang Toru, based on local consumer demand. This initiative forms part of efforts to expand market access while strengthening the economic independence of the assisted community group.
Beyond egg production, Martabe Chicken Farm also utilises livestock waste, commonly known as kohe, as organic fertiliser that is distributed free of charge to local communities. This support is primarily intended for corn farmers in Aek Sirara, Sumuran, whose agricultural areas were affected by flooding, as part of efforts to support the recovery of the local agricultural sector.
Revenue generated from these sales is subsequently used to support the sustainability of Martabe Chicken Farm operations, including the provision of feed, livestock medicines, animal maintenance needs, and poultry housing management. As such, the programme not only encourages the productivity of the assisted group but also strengthens the long-term sustainability and independence of community-based livestock farming businesses. Through this initiative, Agincourt Resources continues to promote empowerment programmes that deliver tangible economic benefits to communities, while also strengthening collaboration and community independence within the Company’s operational areas.
