Process Water Test Results Shared with Stakeholders Strengthens Transparency and Collaborative Monitoring

Oct 1, 2026

Transparency and data-driven monitoring are essential components of responsible environmental management in mining operations. Reflecting this commitment, Agincourt Resources held a dissemination event to present the Martabe Gold Mine Process Water Laboratory Results on 1 October 2026 in Padangsidimpuan, North Sumatra.

The event provided an opportunity to share process water quality testing results with local government representatives, experts, and communities surrounding the Martabe Gold Mine. According to the findings presented by the expert team, all tested process water quality parameters remained within the environmental quality standards established by the government. These findings provide an important basis for evaluating water management practices before the water is discharged into the Batang Toru River.

Agincourt Resources was represented by Senior Manager Community Christine Pepah, Deputy Manager Stakeholder Relations Adi Lubis, and Senior Supervisor Government Relations & Permitting Burhanuddin Harahap. In her opening remarks, Christine Pepah emphasised the importance of transparency and stakeholder involvement in monitoring process water quality. The dissemination event provided a platform for communities to access information based on laboratory findings and gain a better understanding of the company’s environmental management efforts.

Process water quality is monitored regularly through the Martabe Gold Mine Integrated Process Water Quality Monitoring Team, comprising representatives from the government, technical experts, the company, and local communities. Water samples are collected at designated monitoring points and subsequently analysed by an independent laboratory. The testing parameters include acidity levels (pH), total suspended solids, and concentrations of various metals and chemical compounds regulated under environmental quality standards.

In addition to presenting the laboratory results, the event provided an opportunity to hear community perspectives on the condition of the Batang Toru River. Hutaraja Village community representative Ahmad Faris Hasibuan, from Muara Batang Toru, noted that the findings presented indicated that process water quality remained within the applicable standards. He also explained that local communities continued to carry out activities along the river, including fishing.

Through this dissemination event, Agincourt Resources continues to promote transparent, participatory, and science-based environmental monitoring. The involvement of government representatives, experts, and local communities is expected to strengthen shared understanding while supporting water quality management and the long-term sustainability of the Batang Toru River ecosystem.
