PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) is again collaborating with the South Tapanuli Health Service and Sipirok Regional Hospital to organise a Social Service Program for Dokter Spesialis Masuk Desa. On Saturday, 24 June 2023, the program visited Batu Horpak Village, Tano Tombangan Angkola Sub-District and as many as 112 villagers have benefited, consisting of 19 infants and toddlers, 19 pregnant women, and 74 people of productive age.
Three specialist doctors, paediatrician dr. Syahreza Hasibuan Sp.A, obstetrician dr. Ryan Andrian, SP.OG, and internal medicine specialist dr. Abdus Somad Harahap, Sp.PD was brought in to provide treatment and health services for the community, such as Ultrasonography (USG) for pregnant women, Electrocardiogram (EKG) examinations for patients with internal medicine, blood sugar, cholesterol and uric acid checks, and so on.
PTAR Community Services Superintendent Yayan Nuryawan said the community was very enthusiastic about coming to receive health services. Hundreds of people came from 16 villages and one urban villagein this sub-district. “From the results of the examination of the three specialist doctors, there were several diagnoses such as hypertension, diabetes, cholesterol, malnutrition, anaemia, high risk of pregnancy, and so on. We hope that with the presence of this Dokter Spesialis Masuk Desa program, people in South Tapanuli can get quality health services.”
