From August 21 to 29, 2023, PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) took proactive strides in fostering the growth of the creative economy by orchestrating a woodworking training session. The beneficiaries of this endeavor were 10 representatives hailing from villages surrounding the Martabe Gold Mine. This concerted effort aimed to bolster the local community’s skill set, thereby fostering competitive product standards and enriching their craft. Guiding this transformative journey were two seasoned instructors from renowned establishments, Mahendra Craft and Sogga Batik, both hailing from Yogyakarta.

Diving into the specifics, the training modules were meticulously curated to encompass the realm of processed wood products, with a particular focus on their potential for evolving into an array of derivative batik-patterned commodities. By channeling their newfound proficiency, participants are poised to seamlessly synergize with the pallet processing initiatives undertaken by the Sarop Do Mulana Cooperative – an exemplary group supported by PTAR.
Beyond this commendable endeavor, on August 31, 2023, PTAR once again spearheaded collaboration, this time with the South Tapanuli One Stop Investment and Integrated Services Service (DPMPTSP). The common objective was to extend support in the registration process for Business Identification Numbers (NIB) and Home Industrial Food Production (PIRT) for 18 members constituting the third cohort of culinary groups under PTAR’s patronage.
