Apr 28, 2025

On Monday, 28 April 2025, Agincourt Resources held a ceremonial opening for its inaugural vocational training program in Electrical Systems and Air Conditioner (AC) Repair and Maintenance. The training targets 32 young men and women from villages surrounding the company’s operational area and is aimed at enhancing technical skills while expanding employment opportunities. The program is being conducted at the Medan Center for Vocational Training and Productivity Development (BBPVP), located on Jalan Amal, Medan, and will run for a duration of 34 days.

The opening ceremony was attended by Agincourt Resources’ Community Development Manager, Rohani Simbolon, who emphasized that this initiative reflects the company’s commitment to its Community Development and Empowerment Program (PPM), particularly in supporting local economic growth. She noted that the choice of vocational focus was based on community needs, especially given the widespread use of AC units in the region, which presents promising job prospects for participants. Rohani further stated that the primary goal of the training is to equip local residents with practical competencies to become self-reliant in seeking employment—and even capable of creating job opportunities for others.
