As part of its ongoing commitment to environmental conservation, Agincourt Resources, in collaboration with local communities and government representatives, carried out the release of 6,000 jurung fish fingerlings at Lubuk Larangan Nurul Huda, Perkebunan Hapesong Village, on Monday, 5 May 2025. This initiative aims to restore the presence of an increasingly rare native fish species to its natural habitat, while also supporting the balance of the freshwater ecosystem.
Jurung fish are an endemic species with significant ecological and economic value. Ensuring their continued existence is essential, not only to maintain environmental stability but also to provide long-term benefits to local communities. The release took place in a designated conservation zone, agreed upon collectively as a protected area for fish.

It requires collaboration and commitment from all stakeholders,” he said.
The Head of the South Tapanuli Fisheries Office, Muhklis Al Alminy Hutagalung, welcomed this initiative. He hopes that the activity will help restore the jurung fish population and bring long-term benefits, both ecologically and economically, to the surrounding community.
