In the mining industry, regulatory compliance plays an important role in ensuring that operational activities are conducted responsibly and remain aligned with environmental protection efforts.
One of the elements that strengthens this process is community participation as part of an open and collaborative environmental monitoring mechanism. As part of its implementation of Good Mining Practice, Agincourt Resources involves local communities in routine environmental monitoring activities, including the integrated sampling process conducted at several monitoring points.

Through this approach, community representatives are directly involved alongside the Company and government authorities in wastewater sampling and water quality monitoring activities. Sampling points are determined transparently, while the sampling process follows standard procedures to ensure the validity and accuracy of the test results.
The parameters tested include various aspects of water quality, such as acidity levels (pH), Total Suspended Solids (TSS), heavy metal content, and other parameters in accordance with applicable environmental quality standards. The collected samples are subsequently analysed by accredited laboratories, with the results shared with all relevant parties, including the communities involved in the monitoring process.
Community involvement in this process not only strengthens transparency and accountability but also provides opportunities for local communities to gain a direct understanding of the environmental management mechanisms implemented by the Company. This approach plays an important role in building public trust while ensuring that monitoring activities are carried out in a more credible and transparent manner.
From an environmental management and compliance perspective, involving communities in routine monitoring activities also reflects the implementation of the Company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. In addition to supporting transparency, this initiative also encourages a more participatory and sustainable environmental monitoring process.
Through collaboration between the Company, government authorities, and local communities, environmental monitoring becomes not only a shared responsibility, but also part of a collective commitment to maintaining environmental sustainability in a responsible manner.
