Intensive Science Olympiad Training Enhanced Education Quality in South Tapanuli and Padangsidimpuan

Agincourt Resources organized a Science Olympiad Training Program for subject  teachers and students from elementary (SD) and senior high schools (SMA) across South Tapanuli and Padangsidimpuan. The intensive training was conducted in two phases, from November 18–22 and November 28–30, 2024, at SMA Kampus, Padangsidimpuan. 

In collaboration with the Indonesian Science Olympiad Center (POSI), the program aims to improve the quality of education in South Tapanuli. “Through this initiative, we aim to enhance the quality of science education. By providing high-quality training for teachers and students, we hope to nurture a generation of outstanding youth with strong competitive abilities,” stated Agincourt Resources’ Manager of Community Development, Rohani Simbolon. 

The training covered key subjects, including Science and Physics for elementary-level participants, Science, Physics, and Social Studies for junior high school participants, and Physics, Chemistry, and Geography for senior high school participants. A total of 180 participants, comprising selected teachers and students, joined the program.

Yeddi Efendi, Head of the North Sumatra Province Region XI Education Office, expressed his appreciation for Agincourt Resources’ commitment. “We highly value Agincourt Resources’ dedication to improving education in South Tapanuli and Padangsidimpuan. This initiative equips teachers and students with in-depth knowledge of the focused subjects. We hope that students can develop their intellectual potential and achieve remarkable success in various science competitions,” he remarked.
