Conservation Agreement Signed: A Sustainable Legacy Along the Nation’s Coastline

Apr 14, 2025

Agincourt Resources continues to reaffirm its commitment to biodiversity conservation, particularly through its efforts to protect sea turtles, a protected species. In collaboration with the Ovata Indonesia Foundation, the Company has gradually released hundreds of hatchlings toward a total target of 1,000 into their natural habitat along the Muara Opu coastline. This initiative is part of a broader, long-term conservation program aligned with Agincourt Resources’ principles of sustainability and environmental stewardship.

As a continuation of this collaboration, Agincourt Resources signed a cooperation agreement with the Ovata Indonesia Foundation in late March 2025 to build a sea turtle conservation facility. The facility will include office space, a laboratory, meeting rooms, accommodations for patrol and research teams, restrooms, and tanks for breeding and safeguarding turtle eggs and hatchlings. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of June 2025, with the agreement set for a three-month period.

The establishment of this facility not only strengthens efforts to conserve sea turtle species, but also lays a critical foundation for future environmental research and education. Upon completion of the construction phase, the partnership will continue into operational management of the conservation program, which is expected to make a meaningful contribution to maintaining the balance of the marine ecosystem around Muara Opu.

Through this initiative, Agincourt Resources reaffirms that sustainability is not merely a vision, but a continuous and tangible commitment. Protecting hatchlings today is an investment in future generations and a thriving ecosystem.
