Agincourt Resources, operator of the Martabe Gold Mine, continues to reaffirm its commitment to supporting surrounding communities through its Community Development and Empowerment Programme, which is built on eight pillars spanning health, education, and the strengthening of independent local economies.
The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of South Tapanuli recorded regional economic growth of 5.12 per cent in 2024, placing South Tapanuli as the second highest in North Sumatra, just behind Deli Serdang at 5.36 percent.

A number of economic initiatives have been implemented, ranging from organic farming, rice seedling cultivation, maize production, to compost fertiliser processing. More than 250 farmers have benefitted from these programmes, including women’s farming groups who are producing herbal-based drinks.
In education, the company partnered with the Indonesian Science Olympiad Centre to train teachers and students, renovated five schools with an investment of IDR 1.45 billion, and supported SMK Negeri 2 Batangtoru through the establishment of the Bengkel Pintar (Smart Workshop).
In the health sector, Agincourt Resources held a seminar on optimising Visum et Repertum. Support for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) was also strengthened through the Bagasta souvenir centre, digital marketing training for 50 entrepreneurs, and mentoring for MSMEs across 15 villages. This ongoing commitment highlights Agincourt Resources’ role in growing together with the people of South Tapanuli, advancing towards inclusive and sustainable prosperity.
