The temporary suspension of operations has not diminished Agincourt Resources’ commitment to environmental management at the Martabe Gold Mine. Amid ongoing operational dynamics, various environmental maintenance and monitoring activities continue to be carried out consistently to ensure that operational environmental conditions remain safe and well managed. Monitoring activities include routine field inspections, water quality monitoring, regular sampling, and testing conducted by independent laboratories. In addition to direct field observations, the Company also utilises real-time monitoring systems to ensure that environmental support systems continue to function optimally.

One of the key facilities receiving particular attention is the Tailings Storage Facility (TSF), which stores tailings or residual materials from ore processing. Monitoring is conducted on water flow and water quality, including drainage systems, seepage, and other water discharge points, to ensure water management remains aligned with applicable environmental and safety standards.
Using monitoring technology and continuous field inspections, potential changes in conditions can be identified at an early stage, enabling timely and appropriate response measures. This approach also plays an important role in maintaining the stability of operational facilities, particularly during extreme weather conditions.
In addition to operational facility management, environmental protection efforts also continue through forest patrol activities within the Batang Toru conservation area. Using the SMART Patrol system, patrol teams monitor biodiversity conditions, wildlife, and potential ecosystem disturbances through an integrated digital approach.
These efforts reflect Agincourt Resources’ ongoing commitment to maintaining responsible, adaptive, and sustainable environmental and biodiversity management, in line with the Company’s strengthened Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.
