In commemoration of World Environment Day on 5th June 2026, Agincourt Resources organised the Martabe Green to School programme at Batang Toru State Junior High School 2 (SMP Negeri 2 Batang Toru) on 3 June 2026. The initiative forms part of the Company’s commitment to promoting environmental awareness through education while encouraging young people to play an active role in addressing the challenges of climate change.
Through this programme, students were introduced to the importance of protecting the environment from an early age and encouraged to recognise that the impacts of climate change are becoming increasingly evident and are being felt by communities around the world. Guided by the spirit of “Working for the Climate”, Agincourt Resources sought to instil the understanding that safeguarding the planet is not solely the responsibility of governments or businesses, but a shared obligation that can begin with simple actions in everyday life.

Agincourt Resources Education Supervisor, Laung Lubis, explained that climate change is a global challenge requiring contributions from all sectors of society. He expressed his hope that students would become agents of change, inspiring their families and communities to adopt more environmentally responsible behaviours.
Representing Agincourt Resources’ Environment Department, Junior Supervisor Data Management & GIS, Rizkya Putri, served as the resource speaker for the session. During her presentation, Rizkya discussed climate change from a scientific perspective, including how increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases contribute to global warming, leading to more frequent extreme weather events, shifting rainfall patterns, and disruptions to ecosystem balance.
The Principal of Batang Toru State Junior High School 2, Nurhamidah Lubis, expressed her appreciation for the programme and thanked Agincourt Resources for selecting the school as the venue for the activity. According to her, climate change education is highly relevant to the education sector, as a healthy environment plays a crucial role in creating a comfortable, safe, and productive learning atmosphere.

Through Martabe Green to School, Agincourt Resources not only provided an engaging and interactive learning experience but also sought to foster collective awareness of the importance of environmental stewardship. By equipping students with knowledge about climate change and environmental management, the Company hopes to inspire a generation that is more environmentally conscious, resilient, and prepared to become part of the solution to future climate challenges.
