Batangtoru, 6 September 2023 – PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR), the operator of the Martabe Gold Mine, in the last 1 month succeeded in receiving four prestigious awards at the Eco-tech Pioneer Sustainability Awards (EPSA) 2023, TrenAsia ESG Awards 2023, 37th Annual Celebration of the World’s Best Annual Report of the Annual Report Competition (ARC), and Bisnis Indonesia Corporate Social Responsibility Awards (BISRA) 2023.
President Director of PTAR, Muliady Sutio said, the awards from the 4 different agencies and institutions are proof of PTAR’s commitment and efforts so far in implementing responsible mining practices from an environmental, social and good corporate governance perspective.
“Not just a recognition, these awards are our motivation to continue to apply the spirit of sustainability that is in line with the company’s values, namely GREAT (Growth, Respect, Excellence, Action, Transparency). We also hope that this award can also inspire and urge other mineral mining companies to adopt ESG practices, environmental management and community empowerment in the best way possible,” he said.

Most recently, PTAR won the Best Award, 3 gold and 3 silver awards in the 2023 Eco-tech Pioneer Sustainability Awards (EPSA) organized by the Department of Environmental Engineering of Diponegoro University (Undip)Semarang. PTAR won the Best Award for successfully outperforming 16 other companies in the evaluation of green power innovation, low carbon innovation, eco-hazard innovation, eco-cycle innovation, hydro smart innovation, and ecosystem protection.
The award in the field of environmental management was received by the Director and Chief Financial Officer of PTAR Noviandri and Senior Manager Environment, Health and Safety of PTAR Hari Ananto at the EPSA 2023 awarding night which was held at the Novotel Hotel Semarang, Saturday (02/09).
“This appreciation from the academic world is a matter of pride and will certainly encourage us to be more active in making innovations in the environmental field,” said Noviandri.
Previously, at the 2023 TrenAsia ESG Awards event organized by the national mass media for economy, business and investment TrenAsia, PTAR received an Action award in the Gold Mining category.
This award was received directly by PTAR President Director Muliady Sutio on Wednesday (30/08), at the Raffles Hotel Jakarta. TrenAsia ESG Awards of 2023 gives high appreciation to companies that have run their business while still paying attention to environmental aspects, social responsibility functions, and have good governance.
Then, PTAR also received a Silver award in the Economic Element at the 2023 Bisnis Indonesia Corporate Social Responsibility Awards (BISRA) held by the Bisnis Indonesia Group, on Tuesday (15/08).
This award was achieved because PTAR’s Community Development and Empowerment programs have succeeded in having a significant economic impact on the lives of the community around the Martabe Gold Mine. This award was received directly by PTAR President Director Muliady Sutio accompanied by PTAR Senior Manager Community Christine Pepah.
The 2023 BISRA award is an appreciation for companies that are committed to contributing to vulnerable communities and low-income communities and need support and development to grow into prosperous communities.
Finally, at the 37th Annual Celebration of the World’s Best Annual Report of the Annual Report Competition (ARC), PTAR received several awards, namely Gold Winner Design/Graphics: Energy, Silver Winner Script/Writing: Energy, Bronze Winner Photography/Video: Energy, and Honors Cover/Home Page: Energy for the 2023 Annual Report of Overcoming Challenges, Celebrating Resilience.
The ARC Awards are given by the independent award agency MerComm, Inc in the field of communications. ARC Awards is an international event participated by hundreds of companies from various countries.
