Agincourt Resources once again hosted the Martabe Goes To School (MGTS) program with the theme of First Aid at the Nahdlatul Ulama Senior High School (MAS NU) Batang Toru. Held on Friday, October 4, 2024, this event aimed to enhance students’ knowledge and skills in providing first aid in case of accidents.
A total of 101 participants, consisting of 84 students and 17 teachers, enthusiastically attended the training conducted by Agincourt Resources’ Emergency Response Team (ERT) Supervisor, Misnan Arya Winata, and ERT Member, Dewi Hafsah Siregar. The materials covered included Basic Life Support and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Misnan Arya Winata conveyed that first aid skills are crucial for every individual, especially the younger generation. “By mastering first aid, they can provide initial assistance in case of accidents before medical help arrives,” he stated.
The Deputy Headmaster of MAS NU Batang Toru, Keldi Wahyu Hutabarat, welcomed the MGTS program. “We are very grateful to Agincourt Resources for organizing the MGTS program. This activity is very beneficial for our students. They can gain knowledge and skills that are not taught in the classroom,” he expressed.
The MGTS program is one of Agincourt Resources’ commitment to supporting community development in the surrounding operational areas. In 2024, Agincourt Resources targets 15 schools to participate in the MGTS program with various interesting themes, such as health, motivation, fire handling and prevention, and first aid.
